El habanero first day open and we had a great meal! We will be back!! Has the mixtas fajitas with homemade corn tortillas-- big portion and so good!

My husband and I have been wanting to try this place for ages but they are closed on Sundays so it took a while to visit. It was definitely worth a trip. We took our two girls - 4 and 2 - with us. Everyone enjoyed the chips and salsa. Unfortunately you don't get a refill, or if a refill is possible you may have to ask at the counter.
You place your order at the counter and then wait at your table for it to be ready. We found our food came fairly quickly. I had cheese enchiladas - they were good but not outstanding. I found I wasn't full after eating like I normally am after Mexican food. Maybe because I didn't eat as many chips?
On the fence about whether we would go back. It was good food but nothing to rave about. There are so many Mexican places in the area. -

I am a very big fan of this new location, seeing how close it is to my house (like 4 minutes). The owner is SO nice and gracious, too. The cheese and pupusas were my favorite selection, but the al pastor tacos also really hit the spot. The margaritas were STRONG, which is not a complaint! All in all, a very welcome addition to the 29 north community.

Ordered to go and service was terrible. They just greeted you with a "next" and not even a hello, what can I get you or something along those lines. It took them over an hour to prepare my food. The only reason I stayed and waited was that I already paid for it. The food was not very good at all. Everything was super greasy and very soggy by the time I brought it home, which is about a 10 minute drive at the most. The other location is hands down better which is very surprising they would be so different in quality.
I have not and will not go back. -

Absolutely amazing and authentic food. However, the service seems spotty. They had a guy running the cash register who was not very fast and didn't seem accommodating to customers bc he was so wrapped up in figuring out how to work the cash register. It was a Saturday night and there was no bar tender or waitresses. The food was so good that it was worth the poor service. Highly recommend.
